On November 12, 2015, Mike Regitz and Dustin Mauck made a copyright law presentation to the Fort Worth/Mid-Cities Chapter of the Association for Talent Development (ATD). With members from more than 120 countries that work in public and private organizations in every industry sector, ATD is the world’s largest association dedicated to the talent development profession.
The presentation (“Copyright Law in the Digital Age: When Can I Use That?”) provided ATD members with a general overview of basic copyright law principles as well as guidance for those that want to incorporate third-party content into their presentations, blogs, websites, or other media.
“It was somewhat intimidating to make a presentation to professionals that create and make presentations for a living,” said Mauck. “But we were fortunate to be presenting on a fascinating area of the law that does not lack for interesting and entertaining disputes.”
